Be a part of the inaugural class of St. Croix Valley Opera’s Summer Vocal Institute!

Learn from a talented and professional faculty of highly skilled opera performers as you progress and navigate the ever-winding road of a career in today’s singing industry. Seminar topics during this week-long intensive include:

At the end of the week, we’ll throw open the doors to the public for a final celebratory concert featuring group performances and solos you’ve workshopped during the week. Tickets will be on sale soon!

Guest clinician American dramatic soprano Margaret Jane Wray will join the SVI to instruct students in a master class. Other SVI faculty include:

SCVO understands the importance of ongoing, intentional education as a professional musician. The SVI was designed for young emerging artists to have an intensive learning experience beyond their regular vocal study. Obed Floan, SCVO’s Executive Director shares: “As a result of your involvement in the SVI, you will be set apart from your peers by your insider training from some of the industry’s best. This experience will be foundational to your growth and success as a professional vocal performer.”

  • Eligible Ages: 17-34

  • Price: $600.00 USD, covering all 5 days, including all instructional material. Select meals may be provided. Please note that lodging, meals, and transportation will be the responsibility of the student—these are not provided by SCVO.
