Steam Machine is a music and dance ensemble that performs old-time and bluegrass music, featuring fiddler AJ Srubas, guitar player Rina Rossi, and banjo player David Robinson. Steam Machine will perform a wide variety of old-time and bluegrass tunes. They will describe cultural uses of music from different time periods and places. Get ready to clap, stomp, hoot, holler, and maybe even learn a few dance steps.
North House Folk School invites concert attendees to their Open Fire Dinner on a Stick at 5:30 pm prior to the concert. Gather around a bonfire and cook over an open fire as a community. Participants bring their own food; North House provides the fire and the pointy sticks. Sausages to steaks, pudgie pies to home fires, it’s all welcome. The fire will be ready by 5:30 p.m. Bundle up! Location: The Commons.
